The person we bought it from thought the original 327 was rebuilt by his grandfather (the original owner, It is a southern TN car) but we think they put a 350 in it.When going over the car in getting it ready for new paint, we took it to our local automotive shop that works on all our classic cars, who went through it for us, checking (* I have the receipt it was $668.18) and fixing anything that was needed. Here is the run down :New Air Filter, new battery & battery cable ends, replaced sway bar links, changed oil and filter, dropped gas tank and put a new sending unit in it, packed wheel bearings, A/C vacuum checked and is holding good but it has not been charged, just checked to see if it was holding pressure which it is. Pulled off the wheels to check the brakes and replaced brake hose. They said that It also has the highly desirable 12 bolt rear end.It needs all the rubber seals replaced in the windows like most cars this old do, also we pulled off the original package shelf tray that is behind the back seat to inspect the metal that is under it, as that is where all these 67 Impala start to leak around the rear glass, we saw some rust there so we did not install the new package tray/shelf that we had purchased for it until after it has been fixed by whomever paints it.* as an example,we took pictures close up of the hood that had light surface rust where small pieces of paint had chipped off before and after we sanded and painted them, just to protect the metal.) that is what the uneven "splotches" on the car are, that is where we did that. The driver's side front seat has a tear but any seats this old will need to be redone, they sell the original style bench seat covers (and tons of other stuff) at any of the Classic Impala parts places online Like Classic Industries, Impala Bob's etc.. It will need new tires but you would have had to get them replaced with the same ones on Dean's car anyways if you're a true Supernatural fan ;-P (we bought ours wheels and tires for our son's Supernatural car "Hunter" from Jegs, we have the size info if you need it. )The body overall is solid but it does have some bits of rust that can easily be addressed when you have it prepped for paint. Like the hood has some pin size holes our body guy recommended the best way to address the pin holes in the hood is to put a zinc spray weld called Rustbuster Zinc Galvinizing Spray Welding, (*they have a youtube video if you want to google it.) The restoration shop we use is a very high end place, so if your local body/paint shop doesn't have this option you can usually pick up another hood for between $100-$250 and the where the weatherstripping rests, on the bottom under the trunk lid's lip, there is some rust along/under the channel where the weather stripping seal lays, that our body guy said would be easy to cut out and put new metal in, (to do it right) he said he would charge about $300.00 to do it if he was doing the paint job, it is not a place that shows. We hunted all over and finally located and purchased a set of the ever elusive corner lights (they go for $500) and are so soooo hard to find! *We are including with this car, you can have them installed after you paint the car. We also bought and installed the new chrome trim along the front hood lip and eyebrows (a $500 value!) AAAAnd we are also including the front and rear bumperguards we bought for this car that are absolutely ESSENTIAL to an authentic Supernatural build! (*$1,000 value) ~*The price is $21,500.00 with bumperguards and corner lights or $20,000 WITHOUT them.*~We will not take any shady forms of payment. We will accept a UNITED STATES POSTAL Money Order, NO other types of funds for a deposit, to hold the car until you can arrive to inspect it in person and pay for it(in CASH) for it. We have a clear title in our name.*This car is almost 50 years old and is being sold "AS-IS"1967 chevrolet impala odometer: 40461 paint color : black size : full-size type : sedan fuel : gas transmission : automatic title status : clean cylinders : 8 cylindersBlack on black, '67 Chevrolet Impala 4 dr Hard Top aka "Sport sedan" for sale,
